Let’s Talk About Your Calling

iStock_000003130164XSmall My biggest surprise in this adventure of creating and promoting the Big Link Rally has been how challenging it’s been to get you on the phone to talk about your calling.

Everyone who has enrolled so far has spent some time with me in conversation. This is a big step that’s made much easier in forthright dialogue.   To birth a calling it’s essential to engage in frequent conversation with your authentic self. As your temporary coach, I fill the role of speaking as your calling, from the stronger side of you, so that you can hear more than your fears.

I asked myself.  ” What makes you hesitate?”  If I were promoting a conference for muscle car enthusiasts and you really cared about muscle cars, we would have already talked.  Many times.

Yet callings are different.  Even though we are called to serve others; the call feels very personal.  Callings are about faith, stepping into the unknown and being who you are.  I get that.

I understand that you’re afraid – that’s why we need to talk so you can appreciate another perspective.  Bouncing around in your own monkey mind is like trying to open a jar with your hands lathered in bacon grease.  Talking to yourself won’t make it easier.

So far it’s like I’m standing at the head of a classroom and you raise your hand to ask a question or make a comment.  Then I ask a question in return or simply ask that we talk about it after class and you run away never to be heard from again.

Callings are about engagement.   It’s best to engage with someone who cares about you.  My mission, to end vocational confusion and it’s accompanying under earning, qualifies me as someone who really cares about you.   In fact I can’t fulfill my calling without you.

So why do you hesitate?  I’d love to know.   I’m going to take some guesses below to see if I can calm your concerns and encourage you to engage in a powerfully authentic conversation all about you and your calling.

I know it seems a little silly that we have to drag you to the discussion that will change your life.   Don’t feel bad, some are led but most are dragged to their destinies.

My Guesses

Are you afraid you’ll end up being sold something? I’ll not do that. This conversation is about you and your calling.   If you’re a fit for the Rally you’ll be able to see that.  Like trying on jeans they either fit or they don’t. You’ll not be pressured to struggle into anything.

Are you afraid that I’ll ask a question you can’t yet answer? That could happen but I’ll not judge you in any way for where you are.  However the question you can’t answer because you don’t yet want to, is the very trail of crumbs that will lead you to your calling.

Is it because you don’t want to fly into Pittsburgh in January? I wouldn’t either unless this Rally is the only place I could get what I wanted. This excuse will be no good after January because then an invitation to my first virtual rally will be on the table.

Are you concerned that you’ll waste my time? You can’t waste my time.  How I spend it is my choice and since you’ve stepped up, you’re the person I most want to engage.  You’re more wasting your time by raising your hand and then running from the connection.

Are you afraid that we can’t talk because you don’t have enough money? This talk isn’t a consultation for sale.  It’s a sincere invitation to discuss your calling.  The money appears when the path is right and it doesn’t necessarily need to appear from you. (I’m offering generous partial scholarships and all you need to do is ask.)

Are you afraid to trust another with your dearest dreams and fears? Our conversation is confidential and you’ll leave feeling more empowered than you came.  You’ll trust yourself more after our talk because you’ll have received the gift of clarity.

Are you hesitant because the distance in hiding behind an online curtain means you really aren’t putting yourself out there? Are you concerned that by having a real conversation you might be compelled to actually do something about your calling? Callings are very big deals but they require ongoing, vigilant conversation, reflection, observation, discernment and decision.

Making the bold decision, to have a conversation with someone who cares about you and your calling, is the beginning of honoring your path.

You can’t follow a path that you won’t honor.

Are you concerned that I’m some religious nut who will push beliefs that are inauthentic to you? My calling process is a spiritual approach not a religious one.   The only requirement for this is your willingness to go within to find your own wisdom.  Your deep meaning most certainly isn’t found outside of your inner guidance so that’s the only pushing I do.   I strongly suggest that you go within in order to do it your way.

Or are you hiding behind the details and busyness of life while hoping you can use the holidays, family obligations or other excuses to pretend a while longer that you don’t have a calling?

That’s it folks.  I’m out of guesses. It’s your turn to come forth and tell the truth of where you are.

I know, the truth that sets you free will first piss you off.   However the lies that you hide behind will kill you.   It’s your call.  Let’s talk about it. 724-823-0317

Quit Fighting Your Authentic Self

iStock_000007870008XSmallDo you resist being who you are?  In what way do you resist?

Resistance is everything less than fully accepting the core truth of who you are.  Resistance is running away from, complaining about, avoiding decisions on and doubting your own authentic destiny.

There is a deep and narrow truth about who you are and what you’re capable of. But there is also a more familiar, conditioned “truth” (lies) others have told you that you’ve accepted about yourself.

Admit it.  Deep down you know one from the other.  Standing tall and speaking in your own name is powerfully freeing.

I’m inviting you to join authentic friends around the world who believe in prosperity through authenticity here at this page.  It’s free and it will encourage your authentic self to come out more.

Free yourself.  What you resist persists.

Confusion is resistance.  Procrastination is resistance.  Perfectionism is resistance.  All of these excuses are too weak for your strong fearless self to even believe.

Resistance by definition is self-sabotage.  We can navigate by Resistance, letting it guide us to that calling or action that we must follow before all others.  Rule of thumb: The more important a call or action is to our soul’s evolution, the more Resistance we will feel toward pursuing it.  Steven Pressfield, The War of Art

So my authentic friend, where are you really fighting yourself?

I know, it takes lots of courage to follow your path.   Heck it takes courage just to admit that you have one true path that calls you above all others.

So what.  You’ve been brave before.   You can do it again.  Resisting is a weak and shallow exercise in self-pity.   You’re stronger than that.

Ask these questions and allow the answers to soak into your bones.

Exactly where am I resisting my true self?

What scares me the most about going for my unfulfilled dreams?

Where do I create the greatest amount of self-suffering?

What great things have I always believed about myself but have yet to act on?

Your answers will lead to clarity of calling and path.

The path of your calling reveals itself more readily when you embrace your boldness.  The path of your calling reveals itself when you listen to your own authentic voice and act on it.

It takes a lot of balls to create something new and different.  It takes even more balls to follow-through all the way to completion authentically.  But really, what choice do you have?  It’s your path and no one else can follow it like you can.

Being who we are and doing what we can do is the essence of authenticity.  Kim George

When you are not being who you are and doing what you can do, you have fallen deeply into the deadly trap of resistance.   Free yourself today.

You may have been settling for less than fulfilling, abundant, work for so long, that you’ve forgotten the way back to your authentic self.

I know the way and its my mission and honor to guide you there.

Embrace your authentic boldness.   Join us for this courageous workshop of self-discovery and evolution on January 2 in Pittsburgh.  Come back to your fearless self.  She’s waiting to show you the way.

I’ve decided to offer some partial scholarships based on real need and authenticity.  If you really want to join us, do not use the lack of money as an excuse.  Your bold presence is far more important to me than your money. Send me an email requesting consideration. Be fearless.
