Tess - Thanks so much. That means a lot to me. I used to sign all of my correspondence with, Enthusiastically Yours,

I love that about life and life is to be loved. Bright and warm glowings back at you.

Laurie - Sounds like a great shaking indeed. You can always adjust. Fear not, get your ducks in a row and then imagine living the new direction and see how that feels in your body. I have confidence in you.

Hi Tom! I am fast approaching a place where we will make some major decisions about the direction of our company. There are several we could take so moving forward with boldness is on my radar screen. We will be researching and gathering information to make our decision before we make our move. The whole thing is scary but exciting. I don't want to move too fast but I don't want to wait too long and miss out on what could be. I'm shaking in my boots to think about it all!

Dee - Welcome. I'm always delighted to meet a fellow coach especially one on the same mission. Yep society certainly has created many twisted beliefs about what work is and sometimes I also find that my coaching clients http://www.CoreU.com need to toss it all our and begin fresh following their alignment from within. The music within is there, we simply need to listen for it and honor it.

Tom, You and I have the same mission: to help others bring their gifts and talents into the world and not "die with the music inside".
I appreciate your statement: "Please understand that before prosperity comes clarity of calling and before clarity of calling comes recognition of power." That is so true! I also find that the biggest hurdle for most of my clients is to step into and own their power, their inner truth. We are conditioned by our culture to view work as something to be endured (nose to the grindstone) rather than to view work as an expression of our authentic self. It is a scary thing for most of us to shift that belief and take a stand to "make our own music".
I enjoy your blog! Thanks! Dee, http://www.careerlifecoaching.com

John - You connect your power for good and others looking for your value with action. What else could possibly work but to get into play? The key is to ask what can I do now? There is always something that anyone can do now. Do that and your perspective changes so that you can now see the next thing and the next. And yes a calling will bring you alive like nothing else. It feels like coming home to a part of yourself that you always knew was there but had yet to experience. Kind of like when the first time a good woman saw something in you that you hadn't yet seen in yourself. A love affair with our own work is something that we should never deny ourselves.

Tom,
I have read your post a number of times pondering the possibilties of commenting in a profound way. I finally found it! Your title, "Recognize your power for good" speaks volumes.
In that recognition I hope to experience the shift you mention here, "I’ve felt that fear and it shifts once you recognize your power for good." Could it be that simple? I have had moments when I recognized my power for good (others have agreed). How do I connect that recognition and my desire to serve others with abundance and prosperity?

Bradley - Welcome. Yep you're right about that we are never complete. Even callings require continued tweaking and adjusting so that they serve others better and fulfill our desires more completely. Perfection in a calling? Perhaps not but I have seen those who feel that way and I've come close in my own calling. Like you I don't believe that a calling is some magical end point where everything looks and smells like bliss. But it can get to the point of strong knowing where fears are simply cast aside in service to advancing ones calling. That's where I am now and it feels very light and refreshing.

Tom - Very interesting (and you sure are motivating!). Of course, all of this is true. I especially agree with you that finding our calling is a spiritual process. We are all looking to tap in to that divine calling that makes us authentic and happy and empowered, overcoming all of our fears in the process. But I am still not sure if the perfection of a true calling exists. Maybe I view it more as a process than an arrival. I have achieved and accomplished quite a lot, and am satisfied with it, but still feel I have more to do, more to become. So maybe the point is to simply keep growing.

Barbara - Yes you are correct. Without strong evidence of serving others it's not likely that we are working a calling. We must serve others but tat the same time not care what they say or think about us. Thanks for your continued interest and support. Damn right those folks will leave the rally changed. I'm pumped!
